Hey Y'all!

I have had a passion for photography since I was a little girl – it started as me propping up my Barney & Baby-Bop stuffed animals various places around the house and taking their picture with any disposal camera I could get my hands on. That passion grew in high school when I took a couple film/darkroom photography classes and worked along side local photographers. I received my first DSLR camera for my 21st birthday and have been mostly self-taught from there.

I have been able to pursue my love, passion, and hobby of photography since 2009 when I started my business under the name “Girl with Curls Photos.” From 2019-2021 I took a couple year hiatus from photography to finish my bachelor’s degree and get married (twice, to the same wonderful man)!

Now, I’m bumping up this photography business of mine – now under the name “Samantha Reed Photography.” I believe that pictures are so important. As time goes on, memories fade and loved ones pass on along with all the stories – pictures are the only way to permanently document those memories and stories for generations to come.
